The story
Post office lofts
2692 C street, once called George Washington Station Post office, served Golden Hill from the '60s until 2011.
In 2013 a prominent architect acquired the property and converted the commercial structure into three 3 bedroom 2 bath apartments and developed a modern townhouse in the back of the building.
In 2021 Loft 1 was fully renovated with high end finishes, custom kitchen and designer furniture. In April of 2022 Loft 2 was the next unit to be renovated. This unit features a custom kitchen, striking artwork and furniture and a cozy courtyard equipped with a fire pit.
The expansive vaulted ceilings and sky lights of both Lofts enhance the bright and open architectural elements of the "Post Office Lofts".
Golden hill
Golden Hill is one of San Diego's most historic and architecturally eclectic neighborhoods, with many pre-1900 homes and apartments.
In the early 1900’s, Golden Hill was one of the many San Diego neighborhoods connected by the Class 1 Streetcars built by John D. Spreckels.
Over the years Golden Hill has attracted many artists and musicians. This neighborhood soaks in the views of downtown San Diego and is walking distance to Balboa Park, South Park, Downtown, several hip coffee shops, restaurants, boutiques, and breweries.
The Post Office Lofts is also a 10 min drive from San Diego International Airport.
